Successful Healthy Children

Successful Healthy Children

Website: SuccessfulHealthyChildren.org

In 2015, I started a non-profit, Successful Healthy Children, to bring the work I have done around recess, school health initiatives and facilitating communities to other schools; to create or enhance healthy-learning experiences for our children.

Mission:  Successful Healthy Children will facilitate the formation of school-level wellness/health councils by engaging students and teachers in the process of inquiry and assessment to build on assets, establish policies and implement initiatives which enhance children’s healthy growth and development. With Successful Healthy Children, students, faculty, staff and parents are engaged and invested in the process and in the outcome, creating a solid foundation for sustainable action and outcomes.

Vision:  Successful Healthy Children will be a champion for school health and wellness in elementary schools, advocating for recess for every child everyday and promoting children’s health and success in schools.
